Smooth Grout is an easy-to-use bentonite-grouting composition containing high-swelling sodium montmorillonite clay. It is designed for sealing the annular space around a well casing and for plugging drilled holes and abandoned wells, and for use in water wells and monitoring wells.
Both Smooth Grouts are a one-sack formulation that mixes with freshwater to yield either a 20% or 30% pumpable grouting slurry with an extended working time.
- Smooth Grout 20 develops lower-solids slurries up to 20% total active solids.
- Smooth Grout 30 develops lower-solids slurries up to 30% activity.
